April 16, 2017 – Afternoon Report

Happy Easter Sunday and happy Passover. The good news about the skiing and riding today was that the temperature stayed warm and the air stayed dry. The bad news was the rain last night and the lack of a freeze overnight didn’t make for such a good surface. The groomers were OK but there were plenty of slippery spots where the snow had melted down. The bump runs and trees were not that good until late in the afternoon when they finally softened up a little. Monday’s forecast calls for much cooler temperatures with a slight possibility of a snow or rain shower in the morning, then clearing in the afternoon. ┬áLet’s hope the surfaces are much better tomorrow, and we have a great day of spring skiing.

Average Base Depths:
Snowmaking: 30″ – 60″
Natural Snow: 6″ – 24″
