April 22, 2017 – Afternoon Report

Saturday was another awesome spring day of skiing and riding at Stowe. The day started with some sunshine and dry conditions but showers rolled in around 10 o’clock and we’re intermittent the rest of the day. We started with soft smooth groomers on North slope, Sunrise, and Perry Merrill. The bump runs were soft with some firm sections in between the bumps. The upper woods and trees are still skiing quite well, but be careful of obstacles and make sure you get out of the woods before the snow runs out. Our pick of the day was Nosedive, to Bypass woods, to Glades, to lower Nosedive. Sunday will be the 152nd and final day of operation for this season. The forecast calls for clearing skies tonight, sunshine tomorrow with temperatures rising into the 40s and 50s. Sunday should be an awesome final day on the slopes, with nice corn snow, soft groomers, big bumps, and still good tree skiing on the upper elevations. Hope to see you on the slopes for one last day.
