February 13, 2018 – Afternoon Report

What a difference a day makes. Mountain Ops did a great job of grooming last night. Bright sunshine, no wind, and cool temperatures made for a nice day of fast carving. The pic and pick of the day was Lift Line. It was soft and carve-able for most of the day. The snowmakers has the guns going on Nose Dive all day building up bases for Spring, and offering some nice gunpowder from the bottom of Cliff Trail. Ski Patrol will open the top of Nose Dive tomorrow after a check. The groomers did get a little skied off, but with light midweek traffic you could find good snow late in the day. Everything  off the groomers was frozen and not very skiable. Tomorrow should be the pick of the week with sunshine and temperatures warming into the 20’s and 30’s.

Average Base Depths:
Snowmaking: 30″ – 60″
Natural Snow: 14″ – 28″
Mt. Mansfield Stake: 60″
Season Total: 167″
